Bryce Boratko -Head Coach/ Director of Training CrossFit L-1, USAW-SP, CCWC, C-ISSN- Bryce first got into CrossFit in 2010 following his transition into the fitness industry from the restaurant industry. Formerly a graduate of JWU in Providence, RI, Bryce earned degrees in both Culinary Arts & a BS in Culinary Nutrition. Having traveled to northern Italy to cook under Chef Renato Rizzardi of La Locanda di Piero, Bryce came back to finish up college, and became a cook at Gracie's in Providence. Upon graduating, Bryce was promoted to the sous chef. During that time, he had the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House in NYC. After leaving Gracie's, Bryce cooked for a few other places around RI such as the New York Yacht Club in Newport, and Farmstead/ La Laiterie for Chef Matt Jennings, and Chef Ben Sukle- both James Beard Award nominees. Since his early teens, Bryce has always been into fitness. In 2008, Bryce left the professional restaurant industry to use his nutrition degree to build a personal training & personal chef business before opening up Fulcrum Athletics in 2012 with his wife, Sarah, and brother-in-law.
